IGLTA is to returning to Las Vegas and we hope you'll join us for the 2010 VIVA VEGAS FAM/Symposium, April 4-7, 2010. Our 2008 Las Vegas convention was the largest in the organization's history and we really look forward to going back. There are so many new arrivals on the Las Vegas scene and this FAM/Symposium includes them all! We are hosted at the luxurious Encore Hotel who holds more Forbes Five Star awards than any other casino resort in the world. The very first evening, we'll experience the "City of Lights" from the best view possible...THE SKY on a Vegas Nights helicopter tour. We'll also visit the unprecedented urban metropolis know as CityCenter and head out to the AAA four-diamond rated Red Rock Resort and learn what Vegas has to offer "off the strip". Of course we can't miss downtown Las Vegas so we've included a tour of the Golden Nugget Las Vegas' $150 million Rush Tower complete with a 200,000 gallon live shark aquarium and take photos at the legendary Las Vegas Sign. We'll revel in the fine art of dining at the Bellagio Hotel, Wynn Resort, Palms Place and Planet Hollywood; fit in an afternoon "Only in Las Vegas" shopping and enjoy some of the best shows on the Strip including a breathtaking performance of Le Reve in an intimate aqua theater-in-the-round. The 3-day event opens and closes at the NEW Tropicana Hotel and the Gold Lounge at Aria Hotel and Casino. Whew! And even though Las Vegas is full of fun and adventure this city welcomes nearly 25,000 meetings each year. The Symposium features a day of educational workshops facilitated by the nation's premier LGBT meeting and tourism professionals, where you'll get the inside scoop on the latest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender travel trends and marketing strategies.
