You are invited to take an in depth look into one of America's most intriguing towns, September 16-19, 2010, during the IGLTA Symposium in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The itinerary calls for meeting influential people from the GLBT community, tours of Santa Fe, a variety of activities to choose from, and plenty of free time to explore on your own.
The city is so many things; the third largest art market in the U.S., the oldest and highest (7,000 feet) state capital, a culinary town with its own savory regional cuisine, an outdoor town set at the base of the Rocky Mountains, and a place that invites romance and sophisticated relaxation.
Pricing starts at $305 per person for buyers and journalists doubling up on a room or $380 for singles. The cost covers lodging for three nights - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - all meals, tours, receptions, activities such as a cooking class, guided hike, walking tour, etc., and local transportation.
Two optional pre and post trips are available as well. Trip one includes Georgia O'Keeffe country in Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch, the mineral springs at Ojo Caliente, the Taos area, and a number of attractions along the way, ($216 per person double occupancy). Trip Two includes a more in depth discovery of Santa Fe plus visits to nearby Pueblo communities, the historic town of Chimayo, and the ancient Puye Cliff dwellings, ($220 per person double occupancy). Both trips require a minimum of 6 participants.
